About Aloha Service Network

Aloha Service Network (ASN) helps people organize around shared communities, interests, and ideas. Create or join public or private groups to ask for help, share resources, plan events, and work together.

How it works

Create an account, then find a group or start your own. Public groups can be browsed and joined; private groups require the group’s name and password. Join groups to keep them in My Groups and receive notifications based on your settings.

Inside each group, browse posts or use Create post to:

Connect with opportunities to help and participate

Add Skills, Resources, Knowledge, and Interests to your profile. These tags—called connectors—describe what you could contribute and what you’re interested in taking part in.

Connectors can also be added to requests, collaborations, events, voting boards, and message threads. They help connect group activities and discussions with members who have relevant skills, resources, knowledge, or interests.

For example, a community garden project or event with “Gardening” listed as a helpful skill or related interest could match someone with gardening skills or someone interested in getting involved.

You can customize your notification preferences, including matching notifications. ASN does not show the post creator a list of matched members. You decide whether to respond or participate.

AI connector suggestions

Use optional AI Assist to suggest Skills, Resources, Knowledge, and Interests based on your post’s title and description or the information you provide about yourself when setting up your profile. Review the suggestions and choose which to add, or enter your own connectors.

ASN helps people connect with others in their local area, discover what’s happening in their community, and find opportunities to participate, support one another, and turn shared ideas into action.
